1. AIs will become powerful enough to cure all diseases and fix climate change, and at the same time think that
2. AIs will not become powerful enough to cause catastrophic harms, such as hacking into nuclear codes or creating a pandemic

You either have to believe that:

1. AIs will become powerful enough to do good things and bad things, or
2. AIs will never become very powerful
